Due to the introduction of the Sarbanes Oxley requirements in 2004 a leading telecommunications client needed support with their Global Sarbanes Oxley programme covering all material territories, processes and related systems.
The Aspire founder was engaged to lead the Sarbanes Oxley technology review workstream across the whole of Europe in 2004. This involved managing an coordinating a large team of resources looking at IT general controls, business process controls, manual and automated controls, third party controls, Segregation of Duty controls and a range of other requirements across critical and financially material business process areas and the It systems that underpinned them.
The Aspire founder led the delivery of the Sarbanes Oxley technology review workstream to a successful conclusion and was subsequently asked to join the Global team in 2005 to help plan and oversee the programmes operation and governance in 2005 working out in Canada and overseeing activities of teams in Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas. The client directly benefitted from many process improvement and control suggestions recommended by the team to improve their efficiency and effectiveness.
